A long view of application work
I have spent 30 years in web technology—writing software, leading technical work, managing developers, and taking responsibility for the systems behind ecommerce operations. That range is useful because application decisions never live only in code. They affect operations, customers, maintainability, risk, and the people who need to use the result.
That long view does not take me away from the work itself. I remain hands-on: understanding the problem, choosing an appropriate approach, building the application, and making sure it can operate reliably.
Why an independent consultancy
DSWD is intentionally direct. There is no sales handoff and no layer between the client conversation and delivery. Engagements are centered on a defined application problem, honest boundaries, clear communication, and work that fits the client’s actual environment.
Shopify is the primary focus, especially where storefront, catalog, operational, and integration needs have moved beyond what off-the-shelf software can handle well.
